There was a 4-week pre-order period from April 1st to April 30th 2023. You will soon be able to order the ILE WA book again towards the end of 2023.
HOW LONG IS THE PRE-ORDER PERIOD?
We will print, package and ship your orders. After this, we will make more physical copies and digital copies available for those who may have missed the April pre-order period.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PRE-ORDER PERIOD ENDS
Orders will be sent for printing after the pre-order period ends April 30th. It takes about 10-14 days to print and receive the books. Our retailer will then package and ship the books to you. Standard and Next Day shipping is available. Please allow until the end of May to receive your book(s).
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY COFFEE TABLE BOOK?
PRE-ORDERS
The ILE WA project and book was curated and designed in-house using the work of 41 creatives to tell African and Caribbean inspired stories. We are self-publishing the book from April 1st 2023.
WHO MADE THE ILE WA BOOK/PROJECT?
There is only one book. However, this book is available in two sizes. Our standard size is 210mm x 210mm and our large size is 300mm x 300mm.
HOW MANY BOOKS ARE THERE?
In 2017, WE ARE SOUL partnered with Nigerian based NGO, CWEENS, who connected us with three girls who required educational and financial support. There has since been a need to find intentional and creative ways to fundraise so we can continue to do this important work. 100% of the profits from the book will go directly towards this philanthropy project. The book has also allowed us to showcase the works of 41 talented creatives across the globe.
WHY DOES THE ILE WA BOOK EXIST?
THE BOOK
As we are self-publishing the book, our costs are substantially higher than if we had a publishing company backing us. We have factored those costs, plus the costs of having a retailer into the book price while still ensuring we have a profit for the Soul Purpose campaign.
WHY DOES THE BOOK COST WHAT IT COSTS?
All creators donated their works to the book to support our philanthropy cause. For this April pre-order period, all 100% of the profit will go towards our charity work to support the educational needs of underprivileged young girls in Nigeria.
ARE THE CREATIVES IN THE BOOK GETTING PAID?
No. During the April run of the ILE WA book sales, 100% of the profit will go towards our philanthropy work and the remaining funds will be split up to pay for all expenditure e.g. printing costs, our retailer, sample orders etc.
