ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

We provide financial support to those we sponsor through their educational needs. In partnerships with CWEENS Nigeria.

THEIR STORY

21 year old Queen James from Benue state,Nigeria, was a victim of child negligence and abuse. She was brought to CWEENS on the 11th of March 2017 where she was offered shelter and rehabilitation services as her life experiences left her traumatised after being removed from her family and school and was forced to be a domestic slave. At the time, of our intervention, Queen had never been to school.

Thanks to the Soul Purpose Campaign, she has been in education since 2017.

Queen James

12 year old Nvou Yakubu was from a low income family and abandoned by her mother. She was forced to secure food and other basic necessities via begging and was taken advantage of by many men in the community and had no access to support or education. Her case was reported to Ministry of Women’s Affairs and referred to CWEENS for shelter and psychosocial support.

Thanks to the Soul Purpose Campaign, she is now in year 2 and receiving a good education in a private school.

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

In 2017, we launched 'Soul Purpose', a campaign in partnership with CWEENS

that provides financial support to young women and children in low socio-economic groups with little to no access to education. We sponsor their school fees, school uniforms and school materials through primary and secondary school.

Once sponsored, we monitor their well-being and academic progress until they roll off the campaign. For those who are older or have completed secondary school, we will aim to offer one year of support to aid them in higher education or learning a new life-skill or trade to help them get started on a career path.
